We had dinner at Murphy's on Saturday and the food was delicious! The best pub style food I have ever eaten! The lamb stew was incredible and the lamb was tender and the gravy was delicious! Other people at my table had the shepherds pie and they all raved about it! The server was very friendly and even though she was busy she was happy to bring a sample of a beer for me to try. I will make this my "go to" every time I am in Sonoma.
I have always loved Murphy's. I've been coming here for years, and have even been known to pick up a shift or two from time to time. The remodel is gorgeous! It's simple and elegant. The food is classic bar bites with an Irish flare and dermott the new owner is sweet and has the handsome Irish accent to boot. Zebi our bartender always brings a smile to my face serving fast drinks and witty banter. Don't fear the change people. New ownership is killing it.

What a fun little bar located in the heart of the Sonoma square. When we arrived we were greeted by Kayla and told we could sit whereever we liked. The place has a fun ambiance and a colorful decor of beer draft handles. We ordered fries, onion rings, and several beers. The onion rings were some of the best we have ever had. They were flavorful and the entire onion didn't fall out with one bite. It was served with a variety of condiments. The fries were crispy and tasted fabulous too. The BEER....yum! We enjoyed black and tans, Murphy's, and Cider. Several locals in the place and everyone was friendly! Kayla made our experience a memorable one! Thank you for the amazing food, beer, and customer service! We will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! We are in town for a wedding and the owner was more than accommodating for our party of 15 for dinner. He came by to check on us a few times and was very friendly. The beer, wine, and liquor selection was great as was the food! I ordered the buttermilk chicken dish and it was so tender. We will be coming back for sure!

Loved doing a side by side with their Irish and English beer flights
I have decided I prefer... Murphy's (vs Guinness) Bass (with food) because I like the subtle hops a hair better than the Smithwicks (if I'm just drinking would be my favorite) which is a very close second with slightly sweet notes (vs morland old speckled hen, creamy head like Guinness but the most bitter of the three) Harp (vs Boddingtons)
AMAZING fish and chips, you totally need to order it if you like it
We were visiting Sonoma with friends and met Michael, the bartender. He's such a great guy and took very good care of us, even giving us tips on wineries to visit. We went back to Murphy's every night and on the last night the owner heard about us and stopped at our table to talk to us. Very nice of her! Michael, we are so glad to have met you and we will miss you! You make a great Manhattan!
